ALTEFRANGE PIEMONTE CORTESE DOC

Original, delicate, fresh: an authentic Cortese. An indigenous Piedmont white wine from the southern Monferrato hills which releases intense notes of flowers and fresh fruit. The velvety bouquet and its elegance make it an ideal wine for special moments.

Food pairings: Fresh cheese, fish soups, delicate fish, boiled or fresh vegetables, salads, and pasta.

Colour Straw yellow with greenish tones.
Bouquet Delicate flowers and fresh fruit.
Taste Supple, fresh, well balanced.
Alcoholic content Minimum 11% vol.
Serving temperature 8-10° C.

Harvest: first half September. Crushing and soft pressing of the grapes to avoid damages to the wooden part of the grapes, which could give some unwanted flavours to the Piemonte Cortese Altefrange wine. Natural decantation of the skins. Then, selected yeasts are put into the must, already cleaned, for a correct fermentation at a controlled temperature. With this procedure, its floral and fruity characteristics are preserved. After fermentation, filtration and storage of white wine Cortese Altefrange in suitable containers. Bottling after sterile filtration. Recommended consumption within 2 years; however, some good vintages allow later consumption.
