Umi Sushi Wine

When Piedmont meets Japan the best result is our sushi wine UMI. Wine characterized by the delicate aroma of fresh flowers and peach. The soft and harmonious taste with a fresh and fruity finish, is ideal for moments of pleasure.

Food pairings: Wine created to accompany traditional Japanese dishes, such as classic sushi and sashimi, it is also a perfect match for Italian fish cuisine, such as fish soups, refined fish dishes accompanied by boiled or fresh vegetables. It is also excellent for light lunches based on salads, pasta and risottos, and aperitifs with sandwiches, canapés and pizza.

Grape Variety Blend of white grapes.
Colour Straw yellow to golden.
Bouquet Delicate, reminding of fresh flowers and peach, not overly aromatic.
Taste Soft, fresh, well-balanced.
Alcoholic content 11% vol.
Serving temperature 8-10° C

Harvest: first half September. Crushing and soft pressing of the grapes to avoid damages to the wooden part of the grapes, which could give some unwanted flavours to the UMI wine. Natural decantation of the lees and subsequent inoculation of selected yeasts for fermentation at a controlled temperature. With this procedure, its floral and fruity characteristics are preserved. After fermentation, filtration and storage of white wine Gavi in suitable containers. Bottling after sterile filtration. Recommended consumption of the UMI wine within 2 years; however, some good vintages allow later consumption.
